Album

La Célula Durmiente is an indie band from Spain (we love international music submissions). I also love bands that can play so many different styles- country, pop, emo, hardcore, tex-mex, circus- especially when they keep you coming back for more. It does make categorizing the band’s music a nightmare though!

Some quick facts about La Celula Durmiente:

  • Third album after “Perverso Universo” (Underhill/Arindelle, 2005) and “Eclectcinismo” (BCore/Underhill/Arindelle, 2007).
  • Joan Colomo also plays guitar and sings in The Unfinished Sympathy and in Zeidun, besides doing it solo. Inés enbodied provocation in Las Perras del Infierno and Narcís Prat is one of the best drummers we know, also fronting the mighty Moksha.
  • These guys make great indie music!

great suggestion! Another artist impossible to categorize is Eric Solomon. He’s a mix of rock, pop and jazz and his sound is like nothing out there. I just got his new CD, and literally can not stop listening. Check him out, ericsolomonmusic.com!
