Bon Iver is the definition of indie folk for me right now. The brainchild of Justin Vernon, Bon Iver, has a very relaxing, subdued tone that soothes the soul. No kidding, it’s like Vick’s VapoRub for the you inside of you. Have a look, have a listen to some of the best indie music out there.
Here are a couple of tracks from For Emma, Forever Ago. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you listen to “Skinny Love” with the one you love, magical things will happen- that’s a Shepizzle guarantee!

Vicks vapor rub inside of you? I’ve got to say shep, that’s one of the weirdest things you’ve ever said.

Bon Iver is a very talented musician indeed. He reminds me of another indie folk artist by the name of Dan Mangan. He’s a Vancouver based singer/songwriter and if you check him out, I guarantee you’ll be a fan of him as well.

I’m sad that I didn’t spot Bon Iver sooner. I’m a big fan of that whole folk scene, I’m usually quick to catch a good one. Like Noah and the Whale, I spotted them ages ago, and now they’ve gone and gotten a big ‘ol record deal! Go figure.

This music is celestial. My insides are tingling and my brain feels like it’s had a professional deep tissue massage. Mmmmmm. Thanks Shep!
